On Thursday, 2nd July 2020, in a symbolic presentation held at Podolsk City, First Clinical Hospital, the representatives of Sri Lankan Community in Moscow handed over a consignment of Ceylon Tea, Sweets and other food products to the Association of the Second World War Veterans of the hospital.

On July 31, 2020 Ambassador-Designate of Sri Lanka to Russia Prof. M.D. Lamawansa hosted a working dinner for Associate Prof. Boris Volkhonsky, Institute of Asian and African Studies, Moscow State University, and Associate Prof. Udara Peiris, National Research University the Higher School of Economics. The guests were received at the official residence of the Ambassador. Mr. Mohamed Anas, Deputy Head of Mission, Gp Capt. Uditha Piyasena, Defence Attaché, Ms. Nirosha Herath, 2nd Secretary (Political) and Ms. Chathurika Perera, 2nd Secretary (Commercial) were also present at the event.
