On the sidelines of the "Innoprom" International Industrial Forum Ambassador P.M. Amza, the Head of the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation, was interviewed by a local TV company of the Sverdlovks region.

Ambassador Amza, joined by Hony Consul of Sri Lanka in Yekaterinburg Mr. Vladimir Smirnov, toured around the Innoprom Exhibition area and explored business opportunities with reputed companies such as Rosatom and Sinara.

Ambassador Amza arrived at Yekaterinburg to participate in the Innoprom International Industrial Forum. He was received at the Koltsovo airport by Ms Lyudmila Berg, Deputy Minister of international and foreign economic affairs of the Sverdlovsk region.

On the initiative of Vladimir Smirnov, Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Ekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk Region, the city hosted the Day of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, where the culture and economic potential of this pearl of the Indian Ocean were presented.

As part of the visit to Kursk region, Ambassador P.M. Amza, Head of Sri Lankan Mission in the Russian Federation had a productive meeting with the Rector of Kursk State Medical University Prof. Viktor Lazarenko on July 6, 2024. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mohamad Toufic Chahine, Hony. Consul of Sri Lanka in Kursk.

At the invitation extended by the Governor of the Kursk region, Ambassador P. M. Amza, Head of the Sri Lankan Mission in Russia, visited the Kursk region.
On July 5, 2024, Ambassador P.M Amza had a meeting with Mr. Alexei Smirnov, the acting Governor of the Kursk region. The meeting took place on the margins of the International Kursk Korensk Trade Fair.
