Ambassador Jayatilleka meets Rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO)
On January 24, 2019 Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka and Madame Sanja Jayatilleka visited the prominent Moscow State Institute of International Relations, University of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MGIMO). Ambassador Jayatilleka and Madame Jayatilleka were received by the Rector of MGIMO Anatoly Torkunov, the Vice-Rector Andrey Baykov and a Head of Oriental Studies Department, Professor of History Dmitriy Streltsov.

Ambassador Jayatilleka meets Professor Lukin at the Higher School of Economics, Moscow
On January 23, 2019 Ambassador Jayatilleka commenced his visits to Academicians having met with Professor Alexander Lukin, Doctor in History and Head of Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs/ School of International Affairs at the Higher School of Economics, Moscow. Dr. Lukin is an expert on China and in 2009 he was one of 60 Russians awarded by President Hu Jintao a medal for the "Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Sino-Russian Relations."
