On 3rd June, 2019 Ambassador Jayatilleka paid his second visit to the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Being established in 1956 the institute has become the oldest and the biggest think tank in Eastern Europe including Russia.
Ambassador Jayatilleka met and had a discussion with Academician Alexander Dynkin, the President of IMEMO and one of the leading Russian specialists in the world economy and international politics, who now chairs the Russian Pugwash Committee at the Russian Academy of Sciences Presidium and the Scientific Council of the Russian Council on Foreign Affairs.

Academician Dynkin is a member of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for science and Education, of the Commission of the President of the Russian Federation on the development strategy of the fuel and energy complex and the environmental safety, of the Economic Council under President of the Russian Federation as well as the Scientific Council of the Russian Security Council.
Academician Dynkin was a close friend to Evgeniy Primakov, the outstanding Academician and former Russian Foreign Minister and Prime Minister, who previously headed the IMEMO, which was later re-named after him.
During the meeting Ambassador Jayatilleka and Academician Dynkin discussed issues related to unipolarity, bipolarity and polycentrism in the World Order. They have also addressed matters pertaining to the fourth coming "Primakov Readings", the international platform used for discussions on the most challenging issues of world economy, international politics and security, which Ambassador Jayatilleka and Madame Sanja Jayatilleka are invited to participate in. It is expected to bring together 80 leading experts from 29 countries and more than 600 representatives of Russian think tanks and universities, public authorities, political and business circles, for the "Readings" this year.
