On July 22, 2019 H. E. Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, received Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador H. E. Efren Arnoldo Bernal Chevez, who had previously served as the Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador of El Salvador to Panama. He was also a former guerrilla commander in the ranks of the FMLN.

On July 19, 2019 a celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution was hosted by the Embassy of Nicaragua in Moscow.
Her Excellency Alba Azucena Torres Mejia, Ambassador of Nicaragua to Russia, highlighted the strong and intensively developing bilateral relations between Nicaragua and the Russian Federation as well as allegiance of the two states on various issues of international concern. Ambassador Torres Mejia also spoke on the role of the Sandinista Revolution in the overall development of the country.

On July 9, 2019 Ambassador H.E. Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka and Madame Sanja Jayatilleka attended the reception dedicated to the 203rd Anniversary of Independence Day in Argentina, at the invitation of the Argentinian Ambassador H.E. Ricardo Ernesto Lagorio and his spouse Mrs. Alejandra Maria Rodriguez Galan.

Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave is scheduled for September 16-17, 2019!
The Conclave is organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in association with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade, the Ministry of Industry & Commerce, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Department of Commerce, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, and Sri Lanka Convention Bureau.

On 02 July, 2019 Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University (MADI), one of the largest universities in Russia, held the graduation ceremony of foreign students.
Six (06) Sri Lankan students graduated and received diplomas in the sphere of Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Automation System Management together with other 98 foreign students.

A Sri Lankan parliamentary delegation, headed by Hon. Arjuna Ranatunga, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation and comprising Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, MP, and Mr. Dhammika Dassanayake, Secretary-General of Parliament participated in the 2nd International Forum "Development of Parliamentarism", which was held on 01 – 03 July, 2019 in Moscow, Russia.
The forum was also attended by Hon. Pavithra Wanniarachchi, MP, Hon. Namal Rajapaksa, MP, Hon. Kanchana Wijesekara, MP and Hon. Kanchana Jayaratna, Chairman of Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council.
