“Sri Lankan Day – 2021” and Book and Cultural Exhibition
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia organized the "Sri Lanka Day- 2021" jointly with the Russian State Library (RSL) at the conference hall of the Center for Oriental Literature of the RSL on 23rd November 2021 with a view to promote Sri Lankan culture, Ceylon tea, tourism and a range of Sri Lankan products.

Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation H.E. Prof. Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage commenced the visits to her counterparts from South Asian countries in line with the practice of meeting the diplomatic corp. The first courtesy call H.E. Prof. Liyanage paid was on Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Russian Federation H.E. Kamrul Ahsan on November 11, 2021.

Both Heads of Missions underlined friendly relations established between the countries.
