Following the visit of Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, to the Republic of Tatarstan, an online introductory meeting was arranged between the Kazan Federal University (KFU, Russia), the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine (GWUIM) and the University of Moratuwa (UOM) on 06 June 2023.

Liyanage paid her first working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, one of the most economically developed regions of Russia, in order to explore its trade, economic, and humanitarian potential and seek opportunities for fruitful cooperation.
