H.E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Moscow, prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, held a working meeting with the First Person of the textile industry of Russia - President of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Apparel Industry, member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Committee on Textile and Apparel Industry of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Mr. A.V. Razbrodin.

The delegation of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow headed by H.E. the Ambassador, prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, paid an official visit to the Ivanovo region of the Russian federation on November 27, 2023.

On November 30, 2023 an online meeting on trade and economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and Belarus took place. Sri Lanka was represented by State Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Tharaka Balasuriya and Ambassador Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage. Director of the National Center for Marketing Mr. Nikolay Borisevich participated from Belarus side.

On November 21, 2023, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage attended a Conference devoted to the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at the Civil Chamber of the Russian Federation.

On November 22, 2023, H.E. the Ambassador participated in the final conference of the III International Children and Youth Award called "Ecology is everyone's business" at the invitation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation.

On 20 November, 2023 Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, visited the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotridnichestvo), and held a meeting with its Head, Mr. Yevgeny Alexandrovich Primakov.
