On December 15, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation held a reception in honor of presentation of Credentials to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on 26th November, 2015 by newly appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, Dr. Saman Weerasinghe.


Over 100 guests attended the reception, including several Ambassadors of Asian region, Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Economic Development and Education of Russian Federation, representatives of the Moscow leading universities, academies, theaters, institute, several heroes of the Former Soviet union and representatives from various sectors  such as tourism, tea etc.
