On the 30th of September, 2016 H. E. Dr. Saman Weerasinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia, hosted a reception for Sri Lankan citizens living in Moscow as well as Sri Lankan students obtaining education in Moscow.

 The reception had two objectives. The first one is celebration of the 1 year anniversary of the service of Dr. Saman Weerasinghe as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia, and the second one was a farewell for Mr. Rokhan Direkz, Secretary to H. E. the Ambassador, who completed his service at the Embassy.
While giving the speech, Dr. Saman Weerasinghe presented a brief report of all activities and events organized by the Embassy over the past year and shared his plans for 2016/17 year of service with guests of the evening.
