Due to the entry into force on 1 September 2026 of Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 569-FZ of 29 December 2025 on the mandatory identification of all domain administrators in the .ru zones via a verified account on the Gosuslugi portal (Part 7 of Article 14.2 of the Federal Law 'On Information' explicitly designates identification via the Unified System for Electronic Administration (ESIA) as the sole instrument provided for this purpose), the Embassy will lose its rights to administer its website within the .ru domain zone, and it may come under the control of third parties.

From 17 August 2026, the official website of the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation will move to the following address: www.emb-moscow.gov.lk. Please refer exclusively to the information published on the new website, or follow updates on the Embassy's official social media pages.
