On February 19, 2024, the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition of Light Industry FASHION STYLE RUSSIA took place in Crocus Expo.

The FASHION STYLE exhibition gives opportunities for specialists in the sphere of production, import and retail of light industry goods to establish new partnerships, expand the range of stores, as well as familiarize themselves with the current trends in the world of fashion.

This year two Sri Lankan manufacturers took part in the FASHION STYLE fair, namely Escimo and Stylish Casual Wear.
Ambassador H.E. Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, Ministers of the Embassy Mr. Pandula De Zoysa and Mr. Chamila Jayarathna graced the opening ceremony as a Guests of Honour. The bright event was also attended by representatives of industry ministries and departments, heads of industry unions and representatives of business communities, including Mr. Andrey Razbrodin, President of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry (SOUZLEGPROM) and Mr. Vladimir Padalko, Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
