On February 13, 2024, Ambassador H.E. Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage arrived in Dubna to explore the Dubna Special Economic Zone, projects and products of its residents, including the biomedical cluster, as well as to visit the Altegra Pharm factory.

The study visit was attended by Ilshat Sadykov, Project Manager of the Moscow Region Investment Development Agency, Gennady Amelin, Deputy General Director of the pharmaceutical company AlPharma, and Sergey Yankovets, Project Manager for Foreign Economic Activities of this company.
Ms. Olga Turchaninova, General Director of The dynamically developing pharmaceutical company "Altegra" spoke about the importance of the manufactured products for the national healthcare system. The Embassy delegation was invited to see the production process of two sterile powder dispersion lines, labeling and packaging areas, laboratories of physicochemical and microbiological control methods, "clean", office and storage areas, as well as the area for the production of solid dosage forms, which is planned to be launched in the second half of this year.
Ambassador Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage studied the opportunities the Special economic zone could offer to high-tech businesses and touched upon the promising areas for cooperation including pharmaceuticals and cosmetics production, natural rubber and other areas of common interest.
