UVPA

With facilitation of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow, on 29 April 2022, an introductory online meeting was held between the University of Visual and Performing Arts (UVPA) and Moscow State Institute of Culture.

 The participants of the meeting were Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, Prof. Rohana P. Mahaliyanaarachchi, Vice Chancellor of UVPA, Mr. Mikhail Gurov, Vice-Rector for Creative and Social Education of the Moscow State Institute of Culture and their staff members.

The sides discussed the possibility of establishing cooperation in opening double degree programmes, accepting students through scholarship programmes, cooperation in the fields of theater, sculpture, arts, folk music, fashion education, etc.

Both Universities assured of their wish to deliberate on the possible routes of collaboration to improve the standards of education in the field of fine arts.
