The Embassy facilitates collaboration between the Federation Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation
With the support of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Russia the Federation Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka established good link with the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. H.E. the Ambassador, Prof. Ms. Janitha A. Liyanage opened an online meeting held on 21st of April 2023, welcoming the participants from both sides. The Federation Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka was represented by Mr. Kirthi Gunawardane, President of the FCCISL and deputy Secretary General Tilan Wijesuriya.

Sri Lanka Railways and Sri Lanka German Railway Technical Training Centre sign Memorandums of Understanding with Belarusian State University of Transport
Hon. Dr. Bandula Gunawardana, Minister of Transport and Railways, Minister of Mass Communication of Sri Lanka, accompanied by H. E. Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation concurrently accredited to the Republic of Belarus, visited the Belarusian State University of Transport on 31 March 2023.
